Door het gebruik van full duplex met 100 Mbps levert het de hoogst mogelijke prestaties op 100 Mbps verbindingen. De EIMK is een echte mediaconverter en niet alleen een twee poorts Ethernet switch. Daarom worden de prestaties verbeterd door de store-and-forward data latency die inherent is aan een switch niet te introduceren. Zowel multimode- als single-mode modellen zijn beschikbaar met ST- of SC-connectoren. Vezelafstanden tot 15 km zijn mogelijk met het single-mode model en tot 2 km met de multimode modellen. Aan de koperzijde zijn zowel MDI- als MDIX poorten beschikbaar als aanvulling op een eindstation poort of een switch poort. Crossover functionaliteit wordt aan de glasvezelzijde bereikt door eenvoudigweg de glasvezelverbindingen om te keren.<\/p>\n<p>Elk van de drie modellen ondersteunt de full duplex werking voor 100BASE-TX en 100BASE-FX segmenten. Twee modellen ondersteunen multimode glasvezelverbindingen: de EIMK-100T-FT maakt de glasvezelverbinding via ST-style connectoren, terwijl de EIMK-100T-FC dit doet via SC-style connectoren. Het model EIMK-100T-FCS ondersteunt single-mode glasvezel via SC-style connectoren. De maximale afstand met 62,5\/125 \u00b5m multimode glasvezelkabels is 2 km, terwijl singlemode glasvezel tot 15 km kan overbruggen.<\/p>\n<p>Twee RJ-45-connectoren (een MDIX-poort en een MDI-poort) maken straight-trough of crossover koperen bekabeling mogelijk.\u00a0Link en activiteit LED&#8217;s maken het mogelijk om problemen op te lossen aan zowel de koper- als de glasvezelzijde.<\/p>\n<p>Alle units worden op de TS-35 DIN-rail gemonteerd en werken met een 24 V AC- of DC-voedingsbron, terwijl er ook redundante voedingsaansluitingen zijn. Door de integratie van een half-wave gelijkrichter is het delen van de stroombron met andere half-wave apparaten mogelijk.<\/p>\n<p>Alle modellen zijn ontworpen voor commerci\u00eble en
